A trait theory of leadership is also known as ‘’the one best way’’ view of leadership. In early time of leadership studies focused on trying to clarified or identify what qualities and traits great leaders possessed. This is an attempt to answer the question that: Is there one best way to lead? Can anyone explain leadership in terms of an individual’s qualities? In some direction or way trait theory of leadership intuitively has value. When asked someone to explain leadership, we start think or refer to famous people who we identify with being effective leaders. We quickly recognise that they have something about them that makes them a good or smart leader.

1. It provide a detail knowledge and understanding of the leaders element in the leadership process
2. It is a naturally pleasing theory
3. It serves as a standard against which the leadership traits of an individuals can be assessed
4. It is valid as lot of research has validated the foundation and basis of the theory.
