Prologue
The rain had poured down on the streets of Chicago at four in the morning. There was silence save for the sound of the heavy rain and the one or two cars that were coming home from their graveyard shifts at the local bars or the family of five taking their trip to some other far off location. No one was around to hear the sounds of crying, screaming. The sound of someone’s kneecaps being broken with a baseball bat.
“N-no! Please!” The man cried, his body badly beaten and maimed, his knees were broken from being savagely beaten. Blood was slowly dripping down the side of his face where he was hit multiple times in his left eye.
“You should’ve thought about this before you came back to me with no money.” Another man, the one wielding

“Eh, George, we really should go now.” The goon spoke up again.
“Why? What is the problem?” George asked, turning to see a small girl, holding a stuffed bunny rabbit tightly to her small body, watching with blank eyes. Her brown hair was disheveled and her cheeks were red and puffy as if she had been asleep in the back of the car the whole time. She must’ve been awakened by the sound of brutality going on outside.
“Emily, baby girl. Give me just a minute okay, then we will go home.” George turned back around, looking down at his victim, starting to laugh.
“You see this. Not only did you cheat me of my money, not only did you try to kill me, but you also woke up my daughter. And now she has to see this.” Without a moment’s notice, George pointed the gun at his victim and shot him once in the head. Not even the sound of the pistol’s loud bang was enough to startle the little girl. She had clearly seen far worse that her father has done and she was no longer phased by

You do know what happens when you borrow money, right?” “I needed it to pay for my son’s hospital bills. He-he is ill and we didn’t have enough money to pay his bills nor do we have the insurance. Emily, I’m going to pay you back with interest!” The man was so terrified he was brought down to his knees, practically begging for Emily to forgive him. “Oh you poor, sweet man. I sympathize with you, I really do. A sick child, barely scraping by, you and your wife probably working two low-end jobs getting paid less than minimum wage. I bet you both have to take double shifts so you can make up the money to put your son up in the hospital.” Her voice sounded sincere, worried about his families well-being. The beautiful brunette, knelt down to the man’s level, taking his hands in hers. “I’m so sorry about your tragic situation.” She helped him to stand up again, still holding his hands in hers. The man stopped shaking, seeming less terrified than before. A slight glimmer of hope in his eyes that she would have mercy on him, after all she did sound truly sincere. “Don’t worry about paying interest as well, my good man. I will talk to my father and make him understand.” Emily said with a sweet

Jessica Risner Heather Ward English 1101-41 October 5, 2015 “Love You Forever” Literary Analysis One of my favorite stories to read to my daughter is “Love You Forever” by Robert Munsch. The story is about a mother who sneaks into her son’s room, once he is sleeping, and sings a song to him. She sings to him these words “I’ll love you forever, I’ll like you for always, as long as I’m living, my baby you’ll be (pg. 14).” My favorite part about this story is that once her son is a teenager, and even a grown adult, she still sneaks into his room and sings her song to him.…

“So he can talk after all.” (page 120) is what the nurse said the moment Dally and I came in, after having Johnny slightly opening his eyes and faintly saying, “Hey guys.” I was so happy to see that despite Johnny’s body dying and falling apart, his soul was complete and full of the Johnny I always knew and loved. I quietly moved to the side and whispered to the nurse, “How’s he doing?”…

Good, Ulrich thought, the fool believes I have put this feud to an end, perhaps when my men arrive we can lift the tree off him, then throw him down a very precipitous hillside, with his current injuries, it would kill him most definitely. Or maybe he will simply put a bullet in him and end his miserable life, he will not be to picky as to how his life ends, there is no need for me to scourge him, just as long as I know that it does. Now Ulrich would simply just wait, if his men come first I will continue to pretend to be friends, but only until I am able to end his life safely. Ulrich hoped the man lying near him would stay quiet, he detested this man and it took everything in his power not to insult him.…

Uncertainty lurked in Psychiatrist's consciousness, even when he returned to the safe ground of his profession, and attempted to pretend Emily was no more than another patient requiring his expert assistance. Imagining her as a sexual object, whilst simultaneously attempting to do that, was mental conflict that wouldn't end well. However, despite his best efforts, at assuming control, and trying to demonstrate the benefits of his greater knowledge, maturity and life-experience, an unbidden image of Emily, bent over, mouth open in pleasure, and firm, young tits bouncing, as he ravaged her, continued to sear the backs of his eyeballs. The occasion with Trudeau on the sofa, had been her first time, and by the sounds of it, relatively gentle,…

Morjete. Like any proper South American locale, it had all the amenities that people thought it did if they watched the gritty, hard boiled action movies. But Morjete was a special slice of heaven, the place where people that were too dangerous for Rio De Jeneiro found themselves, the place where ex-FARC decided to call it quits, gangsters and thugs all seemed to just migrate to it. The promise of a life working for a Colombian Cartel was almost too much for some scum of the earth, until they got to Morjete and realized that crime, much like law, operated under a system of checks and balances people who wanted an anarchist dream were usually dead before the next week. The reality was is that there was no business in chaos.…
