I always knew that I wanted to be a teacher since I was a little girl. I want to be an early childhood teacher because it is important for children to know that learning can be fun and exciting. I know that it is important to have a student-teacher relationship. Having a positive relationship between the student and teacher can be difficult to establish. However, a good relationship will require good communication and respect in the classroom. Having this type of relationship between my students will hopefully give them the motivation to learn. A teacher is a combination of some of most important professions in the world. An educator is the biggest influence of a child’s life. A student’s educational experience can shape the events of his or her future. I want to be a role model for the younger generations. I want my students to remember me as a knowledgeable and ethical teacher.
I previously worked as a teacher assistant in an exceptional pre-kindergarten class. I worked in pre-kindergarten for four years. Currently, I am working as a teacher assistant for a K-5 elementary school. I love working with those babies every day. I enjoy watching their faces light up when they began to understand something as simple as an alphabet. Most days were a challenge because of their disabilities.
