Being A Teacher Is The Best Role Model For Students

After in-depth research during class and outside of class I have came to conclusion that as a teacher you always want to be the best role model to your students. You want to always make sure you have the best attitude towards your students and promote a healthy environment. To become a well involved distinguished teacher you need to always be involved, lots of practice and improvement. There will always be unexpected things that may occur in your classroom and no one ever walks into a classroom the first day perfect, because like I said it takes a lot of practice that doesn’t happen overnight. I believe that teachers should have relationships with any parent that wants to be involved, and for the parents that don’t want to be involved you should try your hardest to do so. Mrs. Mullin has showed me many ways that she would interact with the students parents to show them what they have been doing in the classroom. She would send out texts daily to keep the parents aware of what is going on in the classroom and upcoming assignments. Also she had her own website that the parents could go on and interact with the teacher that showed each lesson she was performing that day ans the homework that followed, incase a student were to be absent or if the parents needed help understanding the material. I enjoyed seeing how interactive she was with the students parents and how much the parents really cared. But there are obviously parents who are not as involved with the students that may be to busy with work and other things in their lives. As a teacher you have to understnad that every parent wont be involved with their students education and thats where you as a teacher has to help the student as much as you possible can, if its after school help or in class help. No mater how involved the students parents are or not I will always send out newsletters to keep them aware of what is going on and what they need to know so they feel as involved in the classroom community as they
