The most interesting non-fiction book i ever read was a psychology based book called Blink. The book described the useful abilities of intuition and split-second gut feelings. The author is a psychologist who found studies to back up his claims. These studies involved professionals who naturally trusted their first instinct and ones trained to do so. People he interviewed or heard about, describe physical symptoms like stomachaches or headaches leading them to make a decision. This feeling is true for historians whose job is to decide if artifacts and artwork are genuine. During one occurrence, a historian’s gut feeling was that the artifact was a fake despite the numerous tests and studies to back it up. She had the correct answer once more
