2015 to Present: GMC Yukon XL
Fully redesigned for 2015, the third generation GMC Yukon XL offers seating for up to nine and is available in SLE, SLT and Denali editions. Two- and four-wheel drive models are obtainable. The “XL” or extra length adds significant legroom for third row passengers and expands the cargo area by stretching its overall length by approximately 20 inches.

Both the first and second generation Yukon XL offered standard 1500 and heavy-duty 2500 editions, the latter outfitted with larger gasoline or turbodiesel engines.
The first generation GMC Yukon XL was sold from 2000 to 2006, and the second generation model was built from 2007 to 2014.
Both the first and second generation 1500 models were powered by a 5.3-liter V-8 engine paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission. All first and second generation 2500 models offered a 6.0-liter V-8 engine and were also paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission. Later models acquired a six-speed automatic transmission.
