The career I have chosen is a surgeon. A surgeon operates to fix injuries, correct deformities, prevent diseases, and help out the patients in any other way they can. Surgeons also have to be able to see if surgery is necessary, they have to be able to explain to the patient the risks of the operation, and choose which operation to do. I chose this career because I have always had a passion towards helping others, and always admired the work of doctors and surgeons.

This job interests me, because I will be able to help others with their medical problems, I will be able to work with others and develop my leadership skills, and I will be able to develop my people person's skills and be good at talking to others. Also, I believe I have the qualities that will make me a great surgeon as I am confident, creative, I am very careful and think about how others are feeling, and I have some professionalism. Also, as a surgeon you need to be good at interacting with people, you need good leadership skills, you have to be able to adjust your schedule to emergencies on a short notice (working after hours etc.), and you have be able to work standing up for hours doing in surgery.

Surgeons usually work in shifts, and in groups of around 5-8 people. These groups contain different types of assistants and aides, to help the surgeon to complete the operation. Surgeons usually work in a well-lighted clean environment, and have to stand for a long period of time while completing the surgery. Surgeons usually work long hours every day, and have to work with others.
