Jeffery’s face looked very bad after he fell off the stool because his nose was swollen and he had two black eyes.

Annette sickered her way home because she saw Steven getting yelled at.
Jeffery got over his bruises so quickly because Steven gave him oatmeal.
Steven got angry at his mother because she didn't call him while she was away.
Steven’s friends didn't notice anything was wrong because, Steven was still being funny and playing his drums.
Steven forgot about Steven by concentrating on playing his drums.
Everyone felt guilty about not noticing Jeffery has leukemia because they didn't have time to check on him.
Jeffery knew something was wrong when the the doctor told him his bone marrow and put two needles in him and he couldn't move
