A Summary Of Ethical Dilemmas

On 10/22/2017 the department received concerns for Kaley Shea (CV-15), Jack Shea (CV-14), and Lily Katherine Reese Shea (CV-9) as there are concerns that Lauren (mother) and Jason (paramour) are using heroin on a daily basis. It was reported that due to the concerns for drug use the mother and paramour have lost 40 pounds in the past 60 days and the children are constantly missing school. There is also concern for Kaley as it was reported she is using Xanax and is dating a person who is in jail for murder. The children visit the mother every other weekend and on Wednesdays and Thursday every other week.

CPI laid eyes on Kaley, Jack, and Lily and was unable to addressed the allegations at this time. The children were observed to be free of marks and bruises.

CPI was made an appointment for 10/25/2017 and will update PDA once allegation has been addressed.

The situation is not immediate as their no information at this time to confirm the allegations. The family has three prior reports with the department. The children are the victim on one report for family violence threatens child closed as not substantiated with the mother as the AP. The mother appears to have impulsive behavior as she was arrested for Larceny 2014, however there has not been recent arrest.

The condition is not significant as the children were observed to be without marks or bruises There is no evidence that the children are being harmed or are in danger at this
