A Successful Education: My Philosophy Of Education

My philosophy of education is that every child has the capacity to learn and every child should have the opportunity to receive a quality education in a safe and secure environment. It is humbling as an educator to know that I am one of many responsible for providing effective instruction to support the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development of my students. My long-term goal is to prepare and equip my students to be successful students and productive citizens.

It is an exciting time to be an educator because there are so many resources available to provide a well rounded educational experience. Effective facilitation comes from continually reviewing and assessing the needs of my students, utilizing proven, research-based instruction, integrating educational technology into the curriculum, and encouraging my students to think for themselves. I implement educational technology in my lessons to encourage student engagement, to develop problem-solving skills, and to promote critical thinking, which are skills my students need to become successful and productive citizens.

An effective educator must constantly strive to improve through professional growth in their content knowledge, pedagogical knowledge, and in the knowledge of young adolescents. I will actively pursue opportunities for professional development and higher education to improve my pedagogical skills and to keep abreast of new educational research and technology.
