Organizational Behavior (OB) is the study of human behavior and attitudes in an organization. Human behavior tide with human attitude, ultimately determines the success of the institution. As we have learned, systems approach is used to help determine the relationship within people and organizations; as an individual, as a group, or as a whole. I will cover the importance of positive organization behavior and the four inputs- positive emotions, mindfulness, psychological capital, and organizational climate.
Also this paper will contain content focusing on Organizational Climate. “Organizational culture is defined as the set of shared, taken for granted implicit assumptions that a group holds and that determined how it perceives, thinks about, and reacts to its various environments” (Kinicki, 2016). I will primarily focus on the importance of organizational climate and how its values can paint the image of any given company.
Positive organizational behavior is important in the work environment because it involves studying and applying positive human resource strengths and psychological capacities that can be measured, developed, and effectively manage for performance improvements. There are three principle effects of positive organizational behavior. The first is the amplifying effect; positive practices have an escalating effect on outcomes because of their association with positive emotions and social capital.
