A strong candidate for scholarship is someone who isn’t only a good student and has international experience but more importantly someone who has the Thunderbird spirit through and through. Thunderbird’s CEO described a Thunderbird as someone “with a unique spirit, a love of the international, a love of language and culture. People who feel at home whether they are in South America, South Africa, Russia or the Middle East. People who have great affection for all things international”. I feel like I strongly identify with this statement. I have found that my true comfort zone is when I am in a new place, learning about new cultures. I believe that my experiences and education have provided me not only with a solid foundation that mirrors the fundamentals of a “Thunderbird”, but also qualifies myself as a strong candidate to receive a scholarship. …show more content…
I decided that I would follow this passion not only in my free time but also for my undergraduate degree, my professional pursuits, and now my master’s degree. It is soon to say but I believe exploring different parts of the world in order to get a taste of other cultures will be a lifelong pursuit for myself and my international family. My goal after graduating with a degree from Thunderbird is to look for new unique opportunities in this constantly changing world. With those new opportunities, I will, as the Thunderbird’s mission statement suggests, become a “global leader who creates sustainable prosperity worldwide” and be able to give back from the scholarship and education I will
