Auckland District Health Board (ADHB) is one of the largest hospital located in Auckland city. It has a 1,021 general beds, 144 mental health beds, 113 intensive care and high dependency beds and 28 rehabilitation beds located in the Grafton Street. It is considered to be the largest clinical research centre in New Zealand (Auckland District Health Board, 2014).
Its physical structure and facilities of the hospital is highly accessible to all New Zealanders, permanent residents and guests. The interior of the Auckland hospital is not the usual clinical ambience the public may need to, but it has warm colours and fabrics that the facility has to provide a therapeutic environment to patients and visitors (Auckland District Health Board, 2015).

Its main aim is to provide quality healthcare to Auckland district population and citizens of New Zealand by providing state of the art health and disability services.
