Have you ever thought about some small decisions that were better than the ones you made? Throughout the story “A Sound of Thunder” shows, the main character Eckels who, is slightly reckless and is shown throughout the story. For example, Eckels went off the path even though Travis explained in depth to not. The theme of the story is reckless small decisions can have unpredictable consequences, Eckels went off the path because he wasn’t thinking, Travis explained the importance of staying on the path, and after going back to their present time the aftermath of Eckels mistake caused Deutscher and realized the disaster.
