The secret annex was comparable as each and every day, dead silent. Out of nowhere you could hear someone's footstep getting louder and louder, but everyone believed it was the warehouse men. Maintaining their usual activities, a couple of minutes later there was a “Boom”. The knob on the door was turning slowly, the door opened and it was Gestapo. The Franks, Van Daans, and Peter were doomed, knowing the next stop was being relocated at the concentration camps.
Miep Gies had a disappointed look on her face probably she could have warned them, but no one was prepared for this. Miep Gies knew she couldn’t lie to Gestapo or else it would have been horrible for each and everyone of them. The Gestapo arrested the Franks, Van Danns, and Dussel

A few days later, Otto has a talk with Miep that his daughters did not make it. Miep has a book in her hand, handing it over to Mr.Frank. He was a little nervous about what the book was. The book was Anne’s diary she had stored in a drawer waiting to giving it back to her still having hope she would return, until she found out she had passed away. Miep mentioned that Anne had wanted her diary to be published after the war. After Miep handed the the diary to her father Otto Frank she stated “Here is your daughter Anne’s legacy to you.”
Several weeks passed by, and he still did not have the courage to read Anne’s diary. Until one day he decide it was time to read it. He took his time reading word by word, page by page discovering how much pain Anne had going through her. Mr. Frank was shocked at what Anne had thought of several situations and how many memories she had in her case were depressing. A thing Anne wrote a few times about was the jewish suffering, surprising how it affected her

All the mixed emotional or feeling she had were always kept inside of her. Otto notice how Anne wrote harshly about her mother how her mother would go against her. Anne would admit it was her fault because she caused the problem taking it too far. Otto had to take a decision whether he would publish his daughter book, but grew uncertain. Taking the choice to publish it fulfilling his daughter's wish. Mr. Frank hoped the diary of Anne Frank touched others like it did to him. Anne had been through hard times never knowing what was going to happening in the future but was alway hoping one day she could be outside like the others having no worries. Keep believing during those difficult obstacles staying close to the ones who care about you, having hope everything will be better
