The Story of Jesse James “Jesse, are you ready to saddle up?” asks Frank James, Jesse’s brother “Yeah, go get Cole and the rest of them to get out here. They’re taking forever in there.” Jesse replies as he saddles up on his horse. Frank goes into the house to get the other four men. I saddle up onto my horse,. The snowflakes get stuck into my horse’s hair. It’s pitch black outside, only light is the faint light coming out of the Younger’s house.
Jesse looks at me, “ So this is your first robbery?” he asks.
“ Yea , and this is your, what, sixth?” I ask,
Jesse laughs, “ I’ve lost count .”
Jesse and I continue talking until we are interrupted by the five men coming out of the Youngers’ house. Everybody saddles up on their horse. After everyone is up and ready

A woman opens the door with two little children behind her.
“ Hello ma 'am, my colleagues and I are lost, and our horses are tired and we all need rest, may we come in and spend the night here.” Jesse says.
“Yes, come in.” says the woman, she turns to her daughter “Go and make our guest room ready for them.” The little girl runs up the stairs.
We follow the woman to the kitchen. ¨Please sit down, make yourselves at home.” she insists, “Do you need a drink?” she asks.
“No thank you” Jesse says. The woman looks to Frank, Ben and I. We all shake our heads no. We all sit down at the wooden rectangular table. “Where are y´all from?” She asks.
¨ My brother, Tom, and I are from Lincoln County.” Jesse says as he nods towards Frank. ¨This is Daniel Jefferson” he nods towards me, ¨he is from Pike County, Joe Parker is from Crawford County.¨
¨I´m Sarah Parson.¨ Sarah says.
¨Well Mrs.Parson, where is Mr. Parson?¨ Jesse asks as he nods to her ring.
¨He is out with his brother right now, he 'll be back in the morning.” Sarah says.
¨ Will he be ok with us being here?¨ I ask.
