A Nevada civilian killed his son for being gay. In the story they talked about how his father never accepted him for being gay. He was in a foster home all because his father used to abuse him and he didn’t treat him right. His name was Giovanni Melton. Giovanni foster mom Sonja Jones says that Wendell (Giovanni father) thought that he was in the apartment with his boyfriend and walked in and shot him. Wendell Melton was 53 years old. Wendell shot and killed fourteen year old Giovanni. A child lost his life at fourteen because of his sexuality, all because of what he like or was as a person. Giovanni went to Coronado High School Bailey Schultz. Giovanni was a good child he made good grade and had good behavior and he brought smiles to everyone
