The night they leave the city they encounter many difficulties, one of which is Tori being shot by people who have come to stop them from leaving. After out running them and getting in a truck, they encounter no more difficulties and make it out of the city. Once their out, the people driving them return to the city so they have to explore on foot. After a little while of walking, Tobias hears something and tell Tris, Tris hears it too, she shouts “stop” and everyone does. A truck comes to a stop and people come out from the truck and tells them they are from an organization that Edith Prior came from, she is an ancestor of Tris’s and Tris’s mother used to live. Tris and her friends agree to go with the mysterious people to wherever they came
