Enrique didn’t know what to do…his wife had just died and he had three kids to take care of. He immediately went to his children’s school counselor and asked for help, he could not do this on his own. They referred him to Pathways. For 45-year-old, Enrique Urrea, Pathways was a life line after the mother of his children died of cancer. He contacted Alan Saum, MSW at Pathways and was enrolled in CHANGES, their family bereavement support group which meets for 7 weeks at the Pathways office. One of the most valuable things Enrique realized from the CHANGES group was how much it benefited his kids. He said his oldest son was very private and holds his emotions close, but after meeting in the group he seemed to be able to share
