Non Disciplinary Memo Essay

This letter is a formal response to the Non-Disciplinary Memo of Concern you addressed with me on September 3rd. I am deeply upset as to the concerns you presented to me that day, and in regards to the results of both of our conversations on September 3rd and 8th regarding my managerial performance. I felt blindsided during our first meeting as you have never addressed any issues with me in the past be it verbal, face to face, or written. In fact during prior verbal conversations with you I have always understood you to believe I am doing a great job. In addition every performance review I have had with Trinity has been outstanding. You even admitted in our meeting that it is true you have not addressed these or any other issues with me in …show more content…
It states I have taken excessive time off. This area of concern greatly troubles me as I have been in constant contact with you regarding this situation, and continued to ask you if my time away short notice requests were an issue. We even discussed this as recently as Wednesday, September 2nd. I continually asked for you to left me know when this was a concern as I did not want to take advantage of your understanding and generosity, which you stated it was not an issue. At the time of addressing the memo of concern with me my family had been taking care of my Mother-In-Law and her failing health for 52 calendar days. I was away from the office 18 days, and 9 of those 18 days I worked remotely. Every day that I was either off work or working remotely was discussed prior with you and you approved it. If the time away from the office was an issue it should have been discussed with me instead of leading me to believe it was not a problem. Other times that I have worked remotely due to travel or other circumstance has never been an issue I do not understand why it is now. All duties of the department have been taken care of in a timely manner, and I made myself available at all times even those days I was considered

INTRODUCTION Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) have been and are critical drivers of social mobility and social change in the Black community. Since their founding they have had missions to provide access and opportunity for Black people when they were excluded or denied admittance elsewhere. Today, HBCUs continue close the societal and economic gaps that exist for Black people in America. HBCUs represent just three percent of institutions of higher education, enroll less than ten percent of African Americans in higher education, but graduate more than 17 percent of African American bachelor degrees and more than 24 percent of African American bachelor degrees in STEM fields (NCES, 2016).…

When it comes to understanding yourself and your personality on a deeper level than normally, you must take personal stories into perspective that have shaped your life while growing up. According to McAdams, “defining oneself through a personal story is an act of psychological and social responsibility” (Engler 2009). Psychological and social responsibility relate to how you act onto actions around you and how you tie society into your viewpoint of the world. In other words, explaining yourself through a story can show several things such as how your emotions played an affect, the type of response you displayed to something that happened, and as well as the lessons you learned through a personal but also social aspect. In addition, McAdams…

We reached our goal and then some and it was just so inspiring, I felt God was with me and my siblings every step of the way.
