Crystal a female Tiger shark, was tagged on June 20, 2016 in North Carolina. She was tagged in Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina. Since Crystal was tagged she has traveled many different places. For instance, she has traveled along the east coast of North Carolina, Virginia, north east coast of South Carolina, and Delaware. Before long, she made her way northward, and is now just east of Kiptopeke beach in the Cape Charles, Virginia area, and north of Virginia beach. Crystal is 11 foot four inches, and weighs 608 pounds, and her life stage is undetermined. Ocearch has helped people learn more about these aquatic animals. Finally, Crystal is named after Crystal Pier in Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina.
A shark can benefit humans if society can help protect them. To begin with, sharks mistake humans for injured fish which is easy prey. Yet, there is 375 species only two dozen are in a way really dangerous to humans. However, it’s a tossup between the Great White, Tiger, and Bull shark of which is the most dangerous to humans. Many types of sharks are at risk of becoming extinct. If people stop killing sharks for meat or for their fins, they wouldn’t go extinct. To sum it up, people are ruining the sharks ecosystem.
In the end, I learned so much interesting things I use to think that sharks should not be protected, because they were hurting our society by eating people. Now since I have learned that they mistake human for injured fish which is easy prey I now believe that they should be
