We as Christians are called to be salt and light to the world; this is very important to a servant speaker. Frequent author Quentin Schultze in his book An Essential Guide to Public Speaking, he writes about how we as Christians should speak with faith, skill, and virtue in a leadership position. The author talks about a servant speaker is called to be a courageous speaker using what God has given to us, and also to serve God and neighbor this is a servant speaker (page 11). In his letter to the Corinthians Paul writes, “To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am making all things to all men, that I might by all means save some” (1 Corinthians 9:22). A servant speaker is a person that has courage, compassion, an understanding of the audience, and speaking in love. A good example of servant speaker is the Apostle Paul he was a Jew, however, he was also a Roman citizen. Called by Jesus personally to preach to the Genitals while the Apostle Peter was called to preach to the Jews. Paul was taught and well educated by his teacher Gamaliel this enabled Paul to speak with understanding and fervor.
In Acts 17: 22 Paul is in Athens and he stands up and speaks to the people there. It says this, “And they took him, and brought him unto Areopagus, saying, may we know what this new doctrine, whereof thou speakest, is?
