Commentary On Once Gone By Riley Paige

Once Gone is a book about an FBI investigator, by the name of Riley Paige, who is taking a break from her job since the last investigation about a serial killer had her traumatized. Now that she actually has the time to take a break there is another serial killer on the loose who is killing women and leaving their bodies all over a town in the state of Virginia. It’s cases like these that I wouldn’t be able to be an FBI investigator because I cant stand to see people bleeding. Since the last case left her a little scared mentally this case was really messing with her. Reba was held by the killer or a few days and was tortured and abused by the killer during this time. Reba was killed after a few days. After she had died, Bill found her body lying on some rocks naked with her eyes stitched open and a scary smile cut on her face. This left bill horrified as he first saw it and at that point he knew they were messing with a psychopath. This was when bill calls Riley to the scene even though she was in therapy at the time. Once Riley came to the case and the two of them investigated the scene, they realized that this body matched a similar case from a past case which had never been solved. Leaving Riley to be determined to finish this case once and for all. Reba had some family in the town and her father was a senator who believed her death was political since people had tried to intimidate him before. So he told Riley and Bill that the murder was more than likely one of his competitors. In the past case there was a girl with similar markings like Reba’s and her name was Eileen. The thing that was weird about the two of them was that they both looked like dolls. As the two are investigating more there was another victim by the name of Cindy who had been taken from work. After time had passed and the senator got impatient, he ordered Walder to lead the case instead of Riley. After a certain amount of time and investigating, Walder thought for sure he had the culprit. But Riley knew he was wrong. Riley tried making an attempt to go to the senators house without authorization and had gotten fired. Even though she was fired she stilled continued the case determined to solve it herself. She had later gotten a call from Bill saying that Cindy’s body was found in the exact same way as the
