In John Knowles A Separate Peace characters friendships with one another show each character's jealously, morality and confusion. In the end of the story you will realize the true meaning of this statement, and how it effected the story in a great way. (Finny becomes a metaphor for the peace that is gone when Gene is too scared to notice the victim is within himself. The peace and friendship that Gene lost, the peace that is Finny.)
Jealousy, jealously is an emotion of thoughts of fear and anxiety. In the novel a “A Separate Peace” by John Knowles, Gene Forester shows many signs of jealousy. An example of this is a quote I found from the book, the book reads “I was beginning to see that Phineas could get away with anything.
