Being a recipient I would use this money to put towards my degree in Occupational Therapy, where I will be helping kids with disabilities learn the basic day to day living skills. After graduation, I will be attending East Central College to get my general courses out of the way, while taking classes that will help me in my future career.…

What basketball means to me is family, friends and heritage. Everything so basketball kind of means a lot to me. Although the point of the game is to have fun, I know a lot of times when I wanted to win. One time I was at a rez ball tournament in Reno and my team had already lost one game and we weren’t planning on going home early, so we tried so hard to get up, and we did only one point down and 3 minutes to go. We brought the ball up the court passed it around and got a shot up.…

Basketball is my life. Okay maybe it’s not my life, but it’s more than a game to me. It’s a big part of my life and it has been ever since I could pick a ball up. Even in the winter, when there was snow on the ground piled up to almost as tall as I was, I would beg and plead my dad to snow plow the driveway so I could shoot around while freezing my ass off.…
