Tonight was a night to remember, but definitely not in a good way. Do you know what the meaning of scared is? If you don't, it means fear. That was the only feeling I had that night, fear. Before the incident we all were fine, nothing bad happened, really nothing happend at all. Until the worst two words that I could ever say came out of my mouth. Those two terrifying words that give me nightmares ever since the incident. The two words that started it all. Do i dare say? I feel as if i must, therefore I will. All I said was “I'm bored.” Then it Happened.

The incident that gives me nightmares ever since it happened. We all thought that it would be a great idea to go on a walk. Well guess what, it wasn't. I still remember a vivid image of the vehicle. It was big and white and terrifying. it looked like any regular big scary white van. Except it wasn't. I better keep telling the story and stop stalling. “Where should we walk to,” my friend asked.

But I think nothing of it, because it was just a regular car driving around the block. So we kept talking.
I try to ignore it when it drove by the third time, but i couldn't. So I finally said it “ Hey have you noticed that van driving by”
“Actually I have but I didn't know if I should say anything.” she

    A Shock Short Story

    • 476 Words

Assuming that you will change, as all people do, (though maybe not at the same pace) do you think you’ll be able to recognize your own hues in 30 years?…

In my Rhetoric in Practice project, I decided to write about a scary bedtime screen-play in order to deliver a specific message to the specific audience group that I targeted. I combined conventions from the horror genre in order to emphasize my message about the vulnerability of children to crimes and the insecurities that we as adults provide for the children’s safety. My main genre would be considered as a bedtime story and a combination of the horror genre which in concept does not go along together, but was successful in orienting my main message towards the intended audience. The first reason I choose this message was merely because I felt sorry for the children living in the current society for their disadvantage of being incapable to go out side and enjoy the weather like I did when I was a child. I believe that the time that children can spend outdoors is of course an advantage…
