I ran into trouble from the beginning where I learned that bedtime stories do not contain most of the conventions from the horror genre like death and crimes, and contained opposing conventions like hope, and contents that lift the spirit (Sweetland). However, in order to maintain the horror genre, I did leave concepts of mystery and only dark-related dictions to give the connotations of the scary feeling. At the same time, I had to end the script in a “happy ending”, as people say in children’s stories or films, as the main convention of a bedtime genre where children fall asleep with the main character solving the problem that arise in the story (Sweetland).
