“A Rose for Emily” is a short story written by American writer William Faulkner. Faulkner tells the story of a young woman and her life from the point of view of the townspeople. The story shows Emily as an odd person. The story also shows Emily as having signs for mental issues. Even though Miss Emily did not receive any treatment for mental issues, it is obvious that she does have them because she shows traits such as ignorance, derangement, and loneliness.
