Expatriate: The word expatriate is a growth of the word expat, which is derived from the Latin word called expatriatus. Earlier an expatriatus was someone who leaves his or her home country and go somewhere else to live. So today an expatriate is somebody who lives in a different location apart from where they were born and brought.
Training: The process of shifting employee behavior & attitudes in a way which upsurges the chance of a goal attainment.

Cross cultural training is considered as the main instrument for supporting the successful cross cultural commerce. This training is provided to the employee after the choice has been made to send the employee to a foreign country. For an average to reach a better stage of cultural proficiency in a new country requires a lengthier period of time, but by providing a cross-cultural training to expatriate that period can be meaningfully reduced. For instance, top MNC’s understood that imitating the existing staff in foreign lands, including the same viewpoints and also technical knowledge would keep the company running smoothly. Business culture had a characteristic top down management structure whereby major decisions were made at headquarter level. Today the international business environment has become dissimilar. There is an aggressive competition going all everywhere, the multinational corporations around the sphere has been identified as the increasing need for the international managers to be prepared with skills on working hand. The most important aspect in cross cultural training is the requirement to have ethics and also to create policies for helping the employees make decisions that have moral consequences. Some languages like Chinese is very tough to learn so the expatriates are provided with a translator. It becomes a triangle association which is that an expatriate asks a question, the translator will interpret it and then the local partner will reply to the translator.
