In this article, Hargie et al. show the difficulties in the workplace for manager and how to deal with those problems and the compulsory elements for successful management. The authors use materials from the research of UK and US to present the problems of staff at work. Those researches cause the counselling in the workplace. In this part, the authors explain the meaning of counselling and the effect of it on staff and manager at work. Their research focuses exclusively on cognitive, motivational, affective, and coordination processes. The article is useful for my study to research on group cohesion as Stephen et al. mention the definitions and some arguments base on social focus and task focus. The main limitation of the article is that it mainly focuses on mid-level management. In conclusion, the authors state that those effectiveness’s need to have more careful consideration in theories of organizational and strategic leadership. In this report, Waller explains the meaning of systems management throughout the theory. Also, the author presents the maps about the food and beverage system or the systems approach to clarify the importance of Systems management. In addition, Waller uses the examples compare McDonald and hot dog to define the object and give a reason for successful manager and food and beverage staff by 5 W’s. Diversity examples, clearly explanation and strong link with other strategy and theory are all the most advantageous elements in this article.
