At the risk of sounding conceited, I naturally usually assume some leadership role in the various aspects of my life. As an eighteen year old I was a substitute teacher my freshman year of college. At nineteen I was the night shift manager for Chick-fil-A after only being there for three months. The same was evident in our group, in the sense I took an informal leadership role. Everyone contributed, but at times I felt I did have to lead the discussion, or try to get ideas out of people. We learned in your brainstorming unit how leaders of the brainstorm should not necessarily contribute ideas, because they established a status as leader and it may shy people away from sharing, so during our sessions I tried to save my ideas until last, or just gave a starting point for others to elaborate on. I especially felt I was the leader by keeping everyone on track. I used the theory of setting specific and obtainable goals to motivate my group. I set certain dates we should meet to talk or practice, and dates everyone should be at least a certain portion of the way done to make sure we met the due
