Essay A Relationship Between Middle Adulthood

The project is based a martial relationship in middle adulthood. I chose to get an insight on the way a marriage last and works from looking at the inside of a couple marriage instead of looking at the outside. I have always been curious as to what makes marriages last, and what makes people want to stay together for a long period of time. To protect the identity of the participants I will specify (Subject A) being the female and (Subject B) as her husband. I chose to interview a friend of mine that has been married to her husband for ten years. She is forty years old and is of Puerto Rican descent, while her husband is forty-seven and of Dominican descent. Both participant were born and raised in their countries. My friend came to the United States when she was very young, at about the age of six while her husband came to the states when he was in his twenties. Both are from very large families (Subject A) has two brothers and four sisters, while (Subject B) has two sisters that’s currently still in the Dominican Republic. Both participants’ parents are married. (Subject A) parents has been married for over forty years and (Subject B) parents were married until his father passed over five years ago.
I chose to go with an interview asking the participants specific questions about their family life and their marriage. Since I have known this couple now for a few years they were very willing to take about the marriage and shed some light on why they have been together so long.…
