Both letter were very hard to read. Both letters hit some main and broad statements on race, equality, and love. Reading these letters made me realize how much trouble this would is in. we are in trouble because everything in the letters still happen today, we still deal with people being racist, even though we don’t think we do we go through it all day, it 's apart of life. In his letter he talked about how it 's really hard to live as an African American. Not just for African American man woman as well. Woman goes through as much as us male do. It 's not put out there like man but it 's out there and it 's hard to witness.

It 's apart of life that needs to to change. In the letter to my son he talks to him about how rough it is to be African American and growing up in this would. A big part of it is because of the racist things people say to African Americans, and the way they treat us. For a example going into different stores in a upscale place they don 't and can 't say what they want to us but they keep a close eye on us. Just because of the skin color. They think we have a quick hand and want to take something or is going to start something, when we are there just like any other trying to shop. It hurt us to sit in a store shopping knowing you are being watched, knowing someone is going to clock everything you do. But it happens more to man then it does to women. It happens to us because we are aggressive. We somehow scare people, just by us being in the building and being a man gives people fear. It 's not the right way to look at us because sometimes we don’t want to hurt a soul. We don 't and we still get treated as we do. We get treated like we want to end the world. Why do the judge us for the past or or skin color. I don 't know. I don 't like
