Ethics In Research Paper

Understanding what ethics is, what the good is, and why we should be moral are key elements in grasping philosophy as a whole. Everyone has different ideas about how they would answer those three questions; and everyone has different views. I have found that I have a strong “moral compass” or that I am set in my ways when it comes to distinguishing between what I should or shouldn’t do. This paper is a reflection of my views on different subjects. Because I have used critical thinking and tried to incorporate different viewpoints to add depth to my paper, I am hoping for an A on this paper. Ethics is the idea of what is right and what is wrong. Coming from a Christian family and going to private schools, my views of right or wrong differs from other people. However, having some sort of moral guide line can help things run a little smoother. Not everyone is going to follow the moral guideline, because if someone really wants to do or believe something, they will. But having laws or guidelines forces people to think twice before they act; it’ll make them question if what they’re about to do is worth the consequence or the overall outcome. Being moral or sharing some of the same morals provides a common ground for people from different social, ethnic, and religious backgrounds. Having certain morals help make the world a better place. One moral argument that I can think of is the argument of whether or not having an abortion is something that is morally acceptable. I for one don’t think that abortions are morally acceptable because the facts that have been shown and because it goes against my religion; but there are plenty of other Americans that are strong supporters of abortion and their “facts” about how it’s
