It has been predicted that should a retirement age be implemented, there would be an over flow of vacancies within the work force. While this may benefit the younger demographic looking for jobs, it also hurts them. Due to the fact that there will be profuse amounts of people expecting pension checks every so and so weeks, the government will need to find a place to acquire that money. As Gokhale said, “The burden on working generations to support a larger and longer lived retiree population will increase,”(Gokhale, 2004).
