Lorraine Hansberry’s A Raisin in The Sun is a beautiful play that tries to deliver a message, to never give up. In A Raisin in The Sun Mama, the main character, is portrayed a poor mother. However, throughout the story her character develops as a strong single mother. Who helped her whole family to overcome Financial, Emotional, and Relationship obstacles. Showing that people of color, even though they have it rough, will perpetually strive for the best. People will perpetually strive for greatness despite the obstacles that occur. Mama carries an important trait that shows that people do not give up regardless of their situations.
