Demi Lovato Once said, “No matter what you're going through, there's a light at the end of the tunnel and it may seem hard to get to it but you can do it and just keep working towards it and you'll find the positive side of things.” A play, A Raisin in the Sun, was written in 1959 by Lorraine Hansberry. The play is about the Younger family who wants to move out of their neighborhood for a new beginning. Among each Younger, they each face a conflicts that are related to money.Lorraine Hansberry reveals her idea through the character Beneatha. Asagai, a friend of Beneatha, exclaimed, “Then isn’t there something wrong in a house - in a world - where all dreams, good or bad, must depend on the death of a man?”(3:1). At the time, Asagai was getting frustrated with Beneatha because she was giving up on her dreams so easily without any ifs or buts. As Asagai was telling this to Beneatha, she began to realize how life is not easy and how one must work hard for one’ dreams to become true, Beneatha was ready to do whatever it takes to achieve her goals. After Asagai and Beneatha talked, Beneatha went with Momma and said,”Beneatha: Mama, Asagi asked me to marry him today and go to Africa. To go to Africa Mama - be a doctor in Africa. Walter: Africa! What he want you to go to Africa for? Beneatha: To practice their...”(3:1). This quote shows how Beneatha is going to continue to strive to reach her goals but in different path other that is not going to college.
