Throughout my research I had a multitude of inquiries on how prosthetics could be used to expand the body. As I mentioned before, prosthetics move from identifying nerve signals being sent from the brain, as well as from contractions, but I wonder if they can just use contractions to make an entirely new limb that can be controlled by just by contracting certain muscles, as an external prosthetic. It could be an extra arm or leg, or even finger, and even if it wouldn’t be fully controlled, it would still help with basic tasks.
