I like this idea of not every week because things come up, and we only have class three times a week so our exit ticket is following six days of class. The deciding exit tickets include understanding, attendance, participation, and our key concepts. I think understanding is crucial in learning. It is nice for the teacher to know if we understand what has been discussed in class, that way as teachers, we will know if and what students need to improve on. The class social contract allows us the opportunity to be apart of a risk free, polite, considerate, supportive learning community. I think developing a contract on how the students will treat each other will create a sense of community where they can depend on each other. Bensen 413’s social contract consisted of; support, participation, respect, feedback, and accountability. I think feedback and input have the biggest impact. Hearing from one’s peers about what they can do better will help learn and take in outside ideas. Ultimately two minds over one can create a project or paper better. We all have our opinions but when we respect each other’s opinions and are open we can accomplish more together. This allows for valuable discussion between the students too.
