Have you ever took control to protect yourself or others? If u play baseball u will have a connection with this book. The theme of the book is to stand up for yourself. The book a Pitch in Time is a Good book with action in it. I would recommend this book to people who like baseball. I think a Pitch in Time is a good book.

The main character is Mac. The book starts When Mac gets to his Baseball practice he has to wait for his mom to bring his baseball gear . His mom doesn't make it in time so when he goes up to bat he has to use a metal bat. He missed the first seven pitches but then he hits three home runs in a row. When he was riding his bike back to his house from baseball practice then he rode over railroad tracks and fell off his bike and when he woke up he is in the spring of 1864 in Rochester Michigan.

He goes to a party with Sally. When he tries to leave the bully Tommy gets in the way and punches Mac. Mac is the town bully and is not nice to anybody. Mac tells tommy to stop being a bully and Tommy Listens to Macs advice. A while later there was a house fire and Mac went into the house saved the people. The people thanked him Later, He got hit by a train and when he woke up it was all back to normal and he his back in normal time. In conclusion the book a pitch in time is a good book.
