It can be very intimidating for women to be surrounded by a society where some men use sex as a tactic of fear and violence. Women should not live in constant fear just because men have been stereotyped to be more sexually superior over woman. It has been universally acknowledged in social media that men have dominance over women whether it be through sex or power. Also, women are stereotyped as delicate while men are entitled to their sexual impulses. Furthermore, sexual subjugation has left independent women in a state of vulnerability. Since women are idealized in various forms of social media, narcissistic men desire those kinds of sexualized fantasies. The inequality of gender in sex and power has resulted in a socially-constructed world where females are constantly warned to be more careful, look for signs of danger, and be aware of your surroundings. It is unfortunate that women are exposed to a society that sexualizes every aspect of a female and learn to be more careful to avoid sexual assault.
