End stopped line- A line of literature that ends with a purposeful pause shown by punctuation. In the poem A Noiseless Patient Spider, Walt whitman uses many end stopped lines in order to achieve a more powerful rhythm.

Rowling portrays an epilogue at the end of the novel. The epilogue explains where all of the main characters are 12 years after the battle of hogwarts. 2. The play MacBeth by William Shakespeare illustrates an epilogue in a play. MacDuff exhibits the epilogue with his stanza “What wicked premonition is this, a king fathered by Banquo. The comrade of my family's killer now has a son who is to threaten me once again? So long as I have a sword in my hand, this child will share the same fate as Macbeth!” because he is illustrating a powerful speech at end of the play.
