Music is personal and full of emotions. Therefore everyone has their own opinion on what is considered a good music genre. As for movies and their soundtrack albums overall, a great movie soundtrack comes down to the theme it creates, how it moves people emotionally, the use of songs with lyrics or without lyrics, and the use of covers or remixes. Composers like Theodore Shapiro use music to make movies more alive and have a deeper impression. Shapiro used his talent as a music director to make a memorable soundtrack for the movie The Secret Life of Walter Mitty making it number 57th on best sold movie soundtracks on Amazon and 39th on iTunes.
