In “A MidSummer Night’s Dream” by William Shakespeare is a romantic play about love conflicts between to “couples”. Lysander is a young man who is deeply in love with Hermia but another man named Demetrius loves her as well. Helena, Hermia’s sister loves Demetrius. Hermia is decided that she wants to marry Lysander but her father wants her to marry Demetrius. They went threw a moments of confusion because a bad character named Puck applied a love potion on Lysander's eyes which made him fall in love with the first person his eyes met. Puck is the character responsible for causing most of the action in the play. He causes the most problems because he put the love potion on the wrong person and caused the “couples” to have love conflict.
Puck is a boy who listens to Oberon. Oberon sent Puck to apply the love potion on Tatiana, his queen so she can give Oberon the little boy she had under her care. Oberon wanted Tatiana to instantly fall in love with the first person her eyes were set on when she woke up …show more content…
Oberon wanted Tatiana back for him and he want Lysander back with Hermia because he knew that was the best thing to do. Oberon told Puck that there was another flower that had touched Cupid's arrows that had the power to take off the love potion. Oberon gave Puck the flower and told he, “Then crush this herb into Lysander’s eye, Whose liquor hath this virtuous property, To take from thence all error with his might, And make his eyeballs roll with wonted sight.”(act II scene II lines 378-381). I believe Puck knew he had to fix his problem because of his mistake people were suffering for no cause. Lysander loved Hermia at first but when puck put the spell on him he fell for helena. Hermia was devastated. Lysander realized that his true love is Hermia not Helena & Demetrius realized he loves Helena and the couple were finally married and loved the person they originally
