INTRODUCTION On Sunday, October 13, 1996 the Word of Life A.M.E. Community Church was founded held its initial service at the Harmony Hall Regional Center in Fort Washington, Maryland. The Word of Life A.M.E. Community Church was admitted to the Washington Annual Conference of the African Methodist Episcopal Church the following year on April 18, 1997

In 1997 the Word of life Academy was created via partnership with another entity in Accokeek Maryland. Classes started in September of 1997, with grades from pre-kindergarten, kindergarten, first and second grades. In 2003, the Academy closed due to a dispute a financial dispute with it 's partner entity; which cause some church fragmentation. Soon after the closure of the Academy

CONCLUSION

Pros:

· The temporary facility is within walking distance to the local surrounding community.

· Enhancements to music ministry (Professional Musicians)

Cons:

· High cost of living
· High cost for rental space and property
· High Storage cost for separate church office rental
· Restrictions on advertising at current location
· Facility closure on some major holidays
· Lack of membership involvement
· The core base of core contributors in the church is relatively small in size which will need to be increased in order for the church to effectively grow the ministry and expand its ability to create additional community programs that will attract new members and allow the church to grow
