In America, almost everyone road is lined, especially within busy places such as towns and cities, also the forks are usually created by grassy areas instead of a statue so that if a car strays from the path, it causes less damage. Another cultural difference found in this film was the diner that was a three in one: diner, bar, and gas station. In America a collaboration of these things would not be found. It was also noted that when the customers had come to get gas put into their cars, they did not do it themselves, but rather an employee managed it, which may have at one point been seen in America, it is no longer done. Some similarities found in the culture that was represented in the movie and American culture was the way that pet stores placed the animals in a visible place, so that customers would be more likely to buy them, however, in America, the pets in pet stores do not have a limited time to buy like they did in the movie or as in animal shelters.
