A Little More Love Text Analysis Essay

I think my strength is putting the reader in my shoes to show what it was like being put in the special group. However, I think my essay can be improved towards the end of the essay with the conclusion and a better transition to it. The purpose of the text analysis essay was to analyze the music video for the song “A Little More Love” by Machine Gun Kelly featuring Victoria Monte. I believe I did a good job describing the video and its indented purpose, but I lacked in trying to convey my argument. I would change my fourth paragraph to make my evidence and argument more obvious. The …show more content…
I don’t like to work on my bed because it makes me want to give up and go to sleep. I also tend to work with some music playing and more often than not, a cup of coffee is with me. I typically work on the rough draft sporadically the day before it is due and sometimes that means also late into the night. If I can, as in not wait until the night before, I like to give myself breaks so I do not get into a writing rut. Sometimes I will come back to the paper later even after I think I have finished it and add things too it. I just look at it with fresh eyes and try to make sure that what I am trying to say is understood. However, I do not always do any sort of written out brainstorming before I start writing. This can make the rough draft more random and sometimes aspects of it ends up in the final draft too. Most of the time I use my rough draft as my pre-writing. It is easier for me to see how to organize my essay and what should be added or taken out when it is all written out in essay form. I have all my ideas written out the way I want and I see can how it all flows and fits together, even if it

René Magritte was a Surrealist artist who has managed to retain his prominence with the simple, yet thought-provoking paintings that he created in his lifetime. By intertwining ordinary subjects with juxtapositions, Magritte was able to successfully force viewers into reconsidering what is often assumed. A well-known example of one of these artworks is The Lovers II which, as its title states, depicts two lovers – a man and a woman – kissing in the corner of a room. However, oddly enough, both of them have a white sheet draped over their heads, thus preventing them from properly “locking lips.” At first glance, it can be easy to disregard this painting as nonsensical.…

The Literacy Narrative was sort of a trial and error project. I wrote the essay the best way I knew how and hoped for the best grade. I did though get to tackle a more creative aspect of my writing that needed much working on. Since this essay was based on our own experiences, it allowed me to be as creative as I would like rather than being confined to the requirements that something like a research paper would have. Despite this, I still realized that my Literacy Narrative was not my strongest paper.…

At the beginning of the semester, I viewed myself as a creative writer. After attending this class I realized that there is a lot more that goes into writing an essay, or a research paper, than just creativity alone. I have learned that it is very important to be aware of my strengths and weaknesses in my writing. Taking this class has helped me understand the strengths and weaknesses in my writing skills, and it has given me the opportunity to strengthen the areas in which I was weak. An example of this is that I have become aware of my grammar and spelling errors as the semester progressed.…

As I am typing my final draft I revise sentences, correct spelling and grammar, and occasionally add or take away a sentence. Once my essay is completely written, I use the spelling and grammar check and fix mistakes that it may find. I then print my essay out and let a couple people read it and fix any mistakes they find. I ask them for suggestions on how to combine sentences and have a better variety of sentences.…

I do not revise my essays very much besides taking into consideration my peer’s comments. I usually get distracted when typing an essay because I go through different social media websites and browse through them until I realize that I have to finish my essay; I usually watch videos on YouTube or message my friends on Facebook; I should limit myself from distractions by putting away my phone or even having a post-it note reminder to not stray away from my essay because I will regret it when I am still working on my essay at 2:00 in the morning.…
