Introduction
I interviewed Mr. Lou Pitt for my Life Review Interview paper. Lou was born in 1946, he is 70 years old. Although Lou’s biological age is 70 years old, he lives an extremely active lifestyle and often identifies himself as being much younger than he is. Lou believes that his Perceived age is 56 years old. According to Cavanaugh and Blanchard-Fields, 2015, “Perceived Age refers to the age you think of yourself as. Growing up in a blue collar neighborhood, Lou emphasized the simplicity of the activities he did for fun as a child. Lou spoke in detail about his memories of playing sports and his love for going outside. Having many responsibilities and good role models around the home as a child is what Lou feels shaped him into having the work ethic that he had throughout his adult life. Aside from attending PS17 elementary school in Yonkers, New York, Lou was also responsible for tending to his family 's large garden, and taking care of the lawn. Lou admired both his father and grandfather as a child for the beliefs that they instilled in him. He was always taught to respect not only his elders but everyone, and have a strong work ethic. Throughout his childhood, Lou struggled with school and found that the classes he enjoyed the most were those that allowed him to be hands-on. Lou remarks on how he had always been mechanically inclined as a child. It came to me as no surprise Lou’s response when I asked about his favorite book as a child. He stated that he had always loved Lee Iacocca 's book about how he turned around the Chrysler company when it was in jeopardy. Lou’s responses to my interview questions remained consistent and it was clear to me that his answers were genuine.
When asked about family traditions, Lou explained how fortunate he feels to have grow up in a traditional Italian household. Although his family did not attend many vacations due to finances, he still shares
