Many people state how all social workers get paid the same, but in reality that is not true. According to many statistics general social workers median pay in 2015 was $45,900. Clinical social workers median pay was $31,000 extra which adds up to $76,940. Now that’s a huge difference if your trying to make a somewhat okay pay compared to a good pay . Both majors fall in the same category of Sociology. Defining both social workers, they both study and practice the structure and functioning of human society. Both study social problems. It does not matter what gender, what race, nor what mental illness a person is suffering from, both social workers are there to help those people suffering from hundreds of different types of social problems society has today. Without any social worker in general we wouldn’t know what social problems exist. This is why people should first know that there’s many different type of social workers that are living with us today and help society differently in different ways they are certified or licensed
