was to call him with the intentions of business.
“Thank you for calling Vaughn’s Hair Salon and Day Spa in West Columbia how may I help you?”
“Yes may I speak to Vaughn Sanders please?”
“One moment please.” Three minutes later I heard,
“This is Vaughn.”
“Hello Mr. Sanders!” I said in a playful voice.
“Mrs. Richardson, what do I owe this call for?”
“Well I was just wondering how your business was doing in sales and marketing.” I said following a brief pause.
“Come on Mrs. Richardson, me and you both know that’s not the reason you called!”
“Okay fine, I just can’t get you out of my mind!”
“I tend to have that effect on women!” He joked.
“Well I’ll tell you what; if you’re not busy I would be honored to take you out for dinner!” I didn’t want to seem too desperate so I said,
“Let me check my schedule and I’ll get back with you!” Laughing out loud he replied,
“Whatever you say!”
It’s now the next day and I decided to take Vaughn up on his offer.
“Thank you for calling Vaughn’s Hair Salon and Day Spa in West Columbia how may I help you?”
“May I speak to Mr. Sanders please?”
“I’m sorry he’s not here at the moment, may I take a message?”
“Yes, can you tell him to call Tara from Financial Foundations?”
“I will relay the message, have a good day!”
Later on that day he called me back. After talking for a brief second he told me to meet him at Red Lobster at seven sharp. I agreed and we simultaneously ended the call. The rest of the day I was anxious. I hardly worked. I was too busy…
